Tour historic Harris Hall in the first phase of a comprehensive renovation of the 93-year-old Evanston campus building. The home of the department of history and others will be remodeled and modernized from top to bottom and will include features expected to bring LEED certification. Construction on the 25,000-square-foot building is expected to take 18 months.
Northwestern's Facilities Management construction manager, John Brzezinski, and project architect Dan Weese of the firm Weese Langley Weese lead the tour (in photos).
Harris Hall was designed by Charles Coolidge, a principal of Shepley, Rutan & Coolidge, the architectural firm responsible for the Art Institute of Chicago and the Chicago Cultural Center.
