Anne Fish Named Benefits Director

EVANSTON, Ill. --- Anne N. Fish, a human resources professional with more than 25 years of human resources management experience, has been appointed director of benefits in the Office of Human Resources at Northwestern University, it was announced by Pamela Beemer, associate vice president for human resources.

Fish, who joined Northwestern Monday (Feb. 16), most recently served as principal-consultant in human resource effectiveness practice at Mercer, a Chicago-based international human resources and benefits consulting firm. Her assignments included projects to improve the overall effectiveness of human resources functions at hospital systems and a commercial real estate firm.

She previously served for 11 years at Automatic Data Processing, Inc. as vice president, implementation. At Automatic Data Processing, which acquired the benefits administration business of Mercer in 1997, Fish managed a group of associates that implemented custom solutions for clients who outsourced to ADP their health and welfare benefits administration, payroll production and HRIS.

Fish served as executive director of benefits and human resources from 1991-96 at Encyclopaedia Britannica, Inc., Chicago, where she was responsible for the domestic and international employee benefits programs for all employees and independent contractors.

Her previous positions include director of employee benefits at Pittway Corp., Northbrook, Ill., and director of employee benefits at SFN Companies, Inc., Glenview, Ill.
