Scholarships Available for Staff Working on Degree

EVANSTON, Ill. --- The Northwestern University Circle has announced the availability of a scholarship for employees of the University who are working toward the completion of a degree or certificate program through the School of Continuing Studies.

Applications are due March 1, and at least one winner will be notified no later than May 15. The scholarship awarded may be as much as $1,000 toward class tuition for the 2009-10 academic year.

Northwestern University Circle established the scholarship program in 2004 to assist University employees who are enrolled in the School of Continuing Studies. The scholarship is funded by donations from the Circle members and the public.

The Northwestern University Circle was founded in 1915. It provides opportunities for women with official ties to Northwestern University to participate in service, scholarship and social activities that enhance the University community.
