EVANSTON, Ill. --- Families of Northwestern University undergraduates can get a taste of campus life and the Evanston area during the annual Family Weekend Nov. 7-9. A wide range of activities, arts performances and information sessions are scheduled.

The opening day Friday (Nov. 7) features activities from 10 a.m. until after midnight. Parents can attend information sessions, including discussions about Study Abroad or campus Greek life, plus Marching Band rehearsals or a performance by the Symphonic Wind Ensemble. There will also be talks by President Henry S. Bienen and several faculty members, as well as question and answer sessions with each of the undergraduate school deans.

Families will join students at sold-out Ryan Field Saturday (Nov. 8) to watch the Wildcats (7-2) against Ohio State. Evening performances feature all of Northwestern's choral ensembles in the NU Voices Concert or an invitational a capella show, hosted by Purple Haze, attracting groups from college campuses across the Midwest.

On Sunday (Nov. 9,) students and their families can eat brunch on campus and enjoy the Baroque Music Ensemble.

Other events throughout the weekend include "A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court" or the musical "Sweeney Todd," as well as exhibits at the Block Museum of Art and guided campus tours.
