Five Elected to Board of Trustees

Christine Brennan, James DeNaut, Harreld Kirkpatrick, Jennifer Steans and Jeffrey Ubben join the Northwestern Board of Trustees.

EVANSTON, Ill. --- Five new members have been elected to the Northwestern University Board of Trustees. They are:

Christine E. Brennan, award-winning sports journalist and author and columnist for USA Today. Brennan received bachelor's and master's degrees in journalism from Northwestern in 1980 and 1981, respectively.

James A. DeNaut, managing director and co-head of corporate finance for the Americas at Deutsche Bank. He received a bachelor's degree from Northwestern, an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and an M.P.A. from Harvard Kennedy School of Government.

Harreld N. "Kip" Kirkpatrick, co-founding partner of Water Street Healthcare Partners, a leading private equity firm focused exclusively on health care. He received a bachelor's degree in history and an M.B.A. from Northwestern.

Jennifer W. Steans, partner with Concentric Equity Partners and president of Financial Investments Corp. She received a bachelor's degree from Davidson College and an M.B.A. from Northwestern.

Jeffrey W. Ubben, founder of ValueAct Capital. Ubben received a bachelor's degree from Duke University and an M.B.A. from Northwestern.
