Five Elected to Board of Trustees

EVANSTON, Ill. --- Five new members have been elected to the Northwestern University Board of Trustees. They are:

Christine E. Brennan, award-winning sports journalist and author and columnist for USA Today. Brennan received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in journalism from Northwestern in 1980 and 1981, respectively.

James A. DeNaut, managing director and co-head of corporate finance for the Americas at Deutsche Bank. He received a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern, an MBA from Harvard Business School and an MPA from Harvard Kennedy School of Government.

Harreld N. “Kip” Kirkpatrick, chairman of Lakewood Pathology and Associates. He received a bachelor’s degree in history and an M.B.A. from Northwestern.

Jennifer W. Steans, partner with Concentric Equity Partners and president of Financial Investments Corp. She received a bachelor’s degree from Davidson College and an MBA from Northwestern.

Jeffrey W. Ubben, founder of ValueAct Capital. Ubben received a bachelor’s degree from Duke University and an M.B.A. from Northwestern.
