Stehlik Named Gallagher Research Professor of Rheumatology

CHICAGO --- Christian Stehlik, assistant professor of rheumatology in the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, has been named Gallagher Research Professor in Rheumatology.

His research interests include inflammation, immunology, molecular mechanisms of transcellular signaling, apoptosis and cancer.

An active researcher, Stehlik serves as principal investigator on three National Institutes of Health (NIH)-funded grants, an RO1, RO3 and R21. He is also a principal investigator on a privately-funded research grant from the Concern Foundation.

Stehlik is a member of the American Society for Microbiology. He is an ad hoc reviewer for Proteome Science and serves on a number of NIH review committees.

He recently received the Faculty Development Award at West Virginia University for Animal Models for Cancer Research.

Stehlik joined the Northwestern faculty in 2007.
