University Services Announces Changes in Travel Services

The University's private mileage reimbursement rate will increase to 48.5 cents a mile for all business miles driven, an increase of four cents from the 44.5 cent rate in effect for 2006, it was announced by University Services.

EVANSTON, Ill. --- The Internal Revenue Service announced an increase to the standard mileage rate beginning Jan. 1. As a result, the University's private mileage reimbursement rate will increase to 48.5 cents a mile for all business miles driven, an increase of four cents from the 44.5 cent rate in effect for 2006, it was announced by University Services.

-- The Compass booking free waiver has been extended through June 30, 2007 for all business trips changed to a CUFS number. Compass is a competitively priced $5 online booking product which features direct billing to CUFS or a personal credit card. --Via HTH Worldwide, the Office of Risk Management has arranged health insurance coverage for faculty and staff who are traveling outside the United States on University business.
