EVANSTON, Ill. --- The drawings, paintings, photography and sculpture of undergraduate students enrolled in Northwestern University's department of art theory and practice is open to the public through June 18 during the Dittmar Memorial Gallery spring exhibition “Collage: Senior Art Show 2006.”
The Dittmar Gallery is located on the first floor of Norris University Center, 1999 Campus Drive, on Northwestern's Evanston campus. Admission is free.
During their undergraduate years, department of art theory and practice majors contribute to a collective body of work, one that would best be described as “mixed-media.” A selection of these works is on display at the Dittmar.
This year's exhibition features the work of Farah Ahmed, Marta Cuciurean-Zapan, Cheri Fakes, Miguel Jiron, Thomas Lee, Jessica Keenan, Larah Kent, Tiffany Sakato, Leah Sellers, Karen Shueh and Rebecca Zazove.
The Dittmar Gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week. Admission is free.
The gallery places emphasis on ethnic cultural art, art by emerging artists, art by or about women, artwork by Northwestern undergraduate and graduate art students and traveling art shows.
