University President Henry S. Bienen will deliver the annual State of the University Address at 9 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 9.
Bienen will share his perspective on the progress and challenges of the University over the last year and discuss future goals and directions during his speech in Thorne Auditorium in the Arthur Rubloff Building, 375 E. Chicago Ave. on the Chicago campus.
A question and answer session will follow the address. Members of the University community are encouraged to attend the live address. Those unable to attend the live address may submit (anonymous) questions in advance to <firstname.lastname@example.org>, and NUSAC will present the question.
Members of the University community may also view the event at a live webcast in the Forum in the McCormick Tribune Center.
The webcast will also enable individuals to view the speech from their computer using Real Player software. Individuals may watch the live webcast by going to the University's home page www.northwestern.edu and clicking on the “State of the University” banner in the features section on the right side of the page. To avoid possible technical difficulties on the day of the event, it is strongly recommended that individuals test their Real Player functionality at least 24 hours in advance of the event. You can test Real Player by going to <www.it.northwestern.edu/webcasting/>.
The State of the University address is sponsored by the Northwestern University Staff Advisory Council (NUSAC) and the Office of the President.
