Financial Workshops Continue

The fall 2005 series of Financial Planning Workshops that began Oct. 3 will be held on both campuses through Oct. 27.

The sessions are designed to explain financial planning concepts, demonstrate useful tools to create and manage a financial plan, display case studies to illustrate specific points and provide flexibility when selecting pertinent topics.

General categories of courses offered include financial goal setting, insurance protection, investments, taxes, tuition savings and retirement planning.

The 90-minute October workshops will include:

RE 1 – Credit and Budgeting for Home Ownership, noon,

Oct. 6, Norris University Center, Ohio State Room.  Evanston.

INV 1-F – Understanding Investments with Fidelity, noon,

Oct. 12, Norris Center, Purdue Room, Evanston; noon, Oct. 20, Wieboldt Hall, Room 203, Chicago.

INV 1-T – Developing an Investment Strategy with TIAA-CREF, noon, Oct. 14, Norris Center, Penn State Room; and noon, Oct. 27, Wieboldt Hall, Room 203, Chicago.

TUI-1 – Mapping Your Course for the Future – Tuition Planning, noon, Oct. 19, Norris Center, Purdue Room, and noon, Oct. 21, Wieboldt Hall, Room 203, Chicago.

RET 5 – Medicare Part D and Your Prescription Drug Benefits, noon, Oct. 20, Norris Center, Purdue Room, Chicago; and noon Oct. 17, Wieboldt Hall, Room 203, Chicago.

INS 2 - CNA Long Term Care Insurance, noon, Oct. 24, Wieboldt Hall, Room 203, Chicago.

Since seminars with less than 20 reservations may be cancelled, it is important to attend a workshop if you made a reservation. The Benefits Division should be notified of any personal cancellations. Workshop attendees may bring a bag lunch.
