A memorial service for Benjamin H. Baldwin, who taught at the Medill School of Journalism for 28 years, will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, May 2, in Alice Millar Chapel.
Mr. Baldwin, 85, died on Feb. 22 in Hilton Head, S.C. He retired from the faculty in 1984 after a distinguished teaching and administrative career. He chaired the school's editorial department and directed the journalism division of the National High School Institute. He received a master's degree from Medill in 1946.
Upon his retirement, a scholarship fund was established in his name by former students and continues to benefit current students at Medill.
A reception will follow the memorial service in Room 122 of Parkes Hall.
