March 1, 2005

The Committee on Women in the Academic Community (COWAC) has submitted its 2003-04 report to Provost Lawrence B. Dumas.

The report contains updated data tables on the representation and progress of women faculty and staff that were in the original report of the Task Force on Women in the Academic Workplace (1993) and last updated in the 2000-01 COWAC report.

The current report also contains the results of the survey of all faculty and staff conducted during the past year.

“We thank the committee for its work on this study and its commitment to our goal of making Northwestern a better place to work and to learn,” Dumas said.

The committee’s report is available online at this Office of the Provost web site: http://www.northwestern.edu/provost/committees/cowac/2003_2004report.htm.
