Kellogg Alumnus Climbs Mount Everest
Northwestern University alumnus J. Armand Musey built a successful career as a financial and strategy consultant after obtaining his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management in the 1990s. He’s now taking on a completely different challenge away from Wall Street as he attempts to climb the highest mountain peaks on all seven continents…the so-called “Seven Summits.” Already having completed six of the seven climbs, Musey is currently on an expedition to climb Earth's highest peak, Mount Everest. While you can read more about Musey in this fall’s edition of Northwestern Magazine, we were honored to be able to interview Musey via satellite phone on April 10, 2008. He spoke with us from just below Everest base camp (17,600 ft) in Nepal as he and his colleagues prepare to ascend the mountain.
