Special Feature: Lurie Cancer Center Celebration and Walk
Cancer survivors, along with their family and friends will celebrate National Cancer Survivors Day, Sunday, June 5, at the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University’s 18th Annual Cancer Survivors' Celebration and Walk.
Registration is $15 in advance and $25 the day of the walk. No pledges required.
29-year-old Jenna Benn is known for wearing lots of hats. She is a daughter, sister, and young professional living life in Chicago…but she never expected to be wearing the hat of a cancer survivor.
Last summer Rich Stremp walked his only daughter down the aisle on her wedding day. It was a “defying the odds” moment, because nearly two years ago this retired Chicago pipe fitter was diagnosed with the aggressive brain cancer, glioblastoma.
