The Basic Sciences Division
of the cancer center is one of three major divisions in the Cancer
Center. The Clinical Research Division is led by Dr. Leo Gordon and
includes programs in Breast Cancer, Prostate Cancer, Hematological
Malignancy, and Pediatric Oncology. Dr. David Cella leads the third
division in Cancer Prevention and Control. Together, the three research
divisions of the Cancer Center engage in activities that impact our
fund of knowledge about fundamental cell processes as well as to
apply these basic advances to the prevention of cancer, treatment
of patients, and surveillence diagnostics for survivors. Cancer Center
activities are planned to provide maximum interactions between the
three groups and we encourage your participation in many of these
events. | |||||
