The Department of Neurobiology and Physiology administers a one-year Master's program, indended for those students seeking an accelerated path to a graduate degree in the life sciences. Department faculty participate in the PhD programs offered by the Northwestern University Institute for Neuroscience (NUIN) and the Interdepartmental Biological Sciences Program (IBiS). Faculty teach courses in both programs on genetics, neural plasticity, electrophysiology, sensory neurobiology, cell biology, Alzheimer's disease, and other subjects. Neurobiology and Physiology faculty also serve as mentors for PhD thesis projects. In addition, many faculty members are involved in teaching undergraduate courses as part of the Program in Biological Sciences. |
