LGBT Resource Center
About Us
Welcome to the LGBT Resource Center!
We work diligently
toward providing a safe space and serving as a hub for organizations, offering resources, services, and programs of interest to the LGBTQ and Ally community at Northwestern. Our goal is to increase visibility and awareness of issues surrounding gender and sexual orientation by uniting existing community entities and developing our own educational and training programs. Additionally, we advocate for populations, who are, currently and historically, marginalized, exploited, disempowered, and/or violated based on their social group membership(s).
Mission
The mission of the LGBT Resource Center is to take a social justice approach to provide opportunities that enhance the collegiate experience of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans*, queer, and ally identified students at Northwestern University. Through our partnerships across campus, we offer cultural, educational, social and professional development opportunities that promote knowledge, engagement, and leadership. We strive to enhance the holistic development of students in order to empower them to lead reflective and successful lives.
