Parents
Admissions Events
During spring quarter the Admissions Office hosts a series of programs called Wildcat Days for prospective students and their parents. During Wildcat Days, we host open houses in our spaces. In addition, MSA staff and many of our student groups participate in activities such as panel discussions, activity fairs, and performances.
MSA also hosts occasional campus visits for high schools and junior high schools. These campus visits are often hosted in collaboration with student groups and typically include a welcome, panel discussion with MSA staff and current students, campus tour, and meal in the dining hall or food court at the Norris University Center.
Wildcat Welcome & Family Weekend
Orientation and Parent Programs (OPP) oversees Wildcat Welcome (orientation week) as well as Family Weekend.
For Wildcat Welcome, MSA plans a number of events, including Student Experiences, NU Mosaic, and social events. There are three Student Experience events: African American Student Experience, Asian/Asian American Student Experience, and Hispanic/Latino Student Experience. Past social events have included a carnival and dance party.
During Family Weekend, MSA hosts an annual tailgate event prior to a home Wildcat football game. The tailgate includes food, games, and prizes in addition to the opportunity to meet MSA staff.
Senior Awards
During spring quarter, MSA hosts the Senior Celebration where we recognize seniors, honor notable achievements, and give seniors a graduation gift.
