Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service
In recognition of the community-building work done by Dr. King, members of the Northwestern community will come together to engage with members of the Evanston and Chicago communities in service projects and neighborhood events. The program will include a brief orientation, and will be followed by student-led discussion on the definition of “service” as seen by Dr. King, and the program participants themselves. It is a day to reflect on MLK’s message of service and activism, and to put that inspiration into action.
