There is a resort across the street from O’Hare International Airport with a complete massage and fitness program, suites with flat-screen TVs and an indoor pool. There’s one catch — it’s for pets only. Saqib Nadeem ’05 MBA is founder and CEO of Paradise 4 Paws, a 24/7 pet-stay resort with additional locations at Chicago Midway and Dallas/Fort Worth international airports and opening soon at Denver International Airport. He envisioned the business during an entrepreneurship class he took at the Kellogg School of Management with Johanna Newcomb ’05 MBA, now chief “barketing” officer. The company has grown since its inception in 2008, and the U.S. Small Business Association lauded Nadeem as the Illinois Small Business Person of the Year in 2013. Nadeem has plans to move Paradise 4 Paws into the top 10 markets in the next few years.
