Chun Earns Tee Time at 2010 British Open

By late July, the well-traveled Eric Chun will have added another stamp to his passport — Scotland.

Last November the sophomore golfer from Ansung City, South Korea, finished second at the Asian Amateur Championship in Shenzen, China, earning a spot at the International Final Qualifying - Asia. In March, Chun traveled to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to compete in the IFQ - Asia tournament. He finished fourth at the tournament and earned a berth in the 150th British Open.

So, after a year full of travel, he can add St. Andrews, Scotland, to his list of destinations. He'll compete there in the British Open July 15-18.

Chun will become the second active Northwestern golfer in the last five years to compete in a major. In 2006 Wildcat Dillon Dougherty (WCAS06) participated in the Masters.
