How NU Can Help You

Northwestern has always had a career services program in place to advise undergraduate job seekers. But many alumni don’t realize that the resources of University Career Services are open to them, too. In addition to offering job listings and confidential one-on-one consultations, the office also offers résumé reviews and interview guidance. Click here for more on UCS.

The Northwestern Alumni Association also offers several career services. The NAA developed Northwestern CareerNet, an online networking database that helps job seekers connect with alumni in various fields. Other resources on the NAA web site include CareerTools, an interactive site that offers tips on writing résumés and researching companies and industries; eProNet, a network powered by Experience.com that offers job postings for graduates of the nation’s leading universities; and Career Strategies, an informational resource that features articles on career topics as well as interviews with noted career experts (see “Get an Earful on Careers”).

In addition, the NAA has created career events, such as Career Boot Camps, hosted by Northwestern alumni clubs around the country and featuring presentations by career coaches on topics such as transitions and self-marketing. The NAA also started a series of career-related workshops and webinars aimed at alumni in career transition.
