Members of the Medill Club of Greater New York on a Greenwich Village walking tour

In November 2004 members of the Medill Club of Greater New York went on a walking tour of Greenwich Village, visiting the homes of such literary greats as Mark Twain, Henry James, Edith Wharton, E.E. Cummings and Edward Albee. In October 2004 the group participated in New York Cares Day at the P.S. 7 Abraham Lincoln School in Brooklyn. As part of the club's service project, members painted murals, sorted books and science materials, and installed computer memory cards.

Also in fall 2004, Medill School of Journalism alumni of Southern California toured the Ronald Reagan Library in Simi Valley, which includes a replica of the Oval Office and Cabinet room and a 6,000-pound section of the Berlin Wall. The guided tour was arranged by Edwin Croft (J61, GJ62) and led by James Harden (J52, GJ53), who both covered Reagan campaigns for NBC News.
