1930s

Hershel Seymour (EB33) of Nappanee, Ind., a retired timekeeper and aerodyne systems installations supervisor at U.S. Steel Corp. in Gary, Ind., and Pittsburgh, recently published A True Odyssey — 1933, a chronicle of the summer after his Northwestern graduation when he traveled as a penniless hobo for six weeks.

Wilbur S. Marshall (SESP35) of Colorado Springs, age 94, has enjoyed a lifelong commitment to education. He founded the Pikes Peak Community College Foundation, which assists students with tuition and books. He also served as a school board president and as a member of a community college local governing board. Early in his career he served as a principal of an elementary school.

Toby Weinshenker (D37) of Chicago celebrated his 90th birthday March 31. He retired from dentistry 20 years ago and has lived in the same home for 80 years. His family includes seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, and he enjoys hearing about his Northwestern Dental School classmates.

Sarah Orndorff Bohmker (WCAS38) of Corvallis, Ore., and her husband will soon celebrate their 90th birthdays. They continue to participate in the public distribution of Watchtower and Awake! magazines.
