1930s

Jack Harris (WCAS36) of San Jose, Costa Rica, is semiretired at age 91. He is director of a housing company that built more than 5,000 middle-class homes in Costa Rica . He has spent the past 50 years in the Central American nation as president or director of a variety of business enterprises. Earlier in his career he worked with Ralph Bunche at the United Nations as a senior officer in the Department of Trusteeship. He is a widower and the proud father of two sons.

Richard Y. Hoffman Jr. (L37, 39) of Phoenix celebrated his 89th birthday in May. At the beginning of World War II he switched from law practice to an engineering career with Motorola. In 1988 he retired from Motorola after overseeing its development of radio equipment used aboard the command module spacecraft for the Apollo program's mission to the moon.

Jane Lee Home (WCAS39) of Rome, Ga., and her husband, George, celebrated their 65th anniversary in September. She is doing well and enjoying the new century.
