The Feinberg School of Medicine
More than 450 alumni and their guests explored medicine’s past and future at Alumni Weekend 2002 in April. The class of 1952 presented its oral history project, in which members shared memories of their medical school days on videotape.

Also, James H. Scatliff (WCAS49, FSM52), professor of radiology and chair emeritus at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, received the 2002 Distinguished Alumnus Award for outstanding professional achievement. Rex Chisholm, director of Northwestern’s Center for Genetic Medicine, moderated the weekend’s continuing medical education program, Stem Cells and Genes in the Practice of Medicine.

Feinberg School dean Lewis Landsberg will be visiting alumni in the New York City area at a Sept. 29 brunch at the Yale Club in Manhattan. On Nov. 10 Landsberg meets with San Francisco-area alumni at the Carnelian Room in downtown San Francisco.

In conjunction with the October homecoming and the Northwestern Alumni Association reunion weekend, the Feinberg School’s national alumni board members convene for their fall meeting Oct. 25 and 26 on the Chicago campus.
