A cappella group releases its first album.
The Treblemakers, Northwestern’s 16-member East Asian–interest a cappella group, released its first album, Definition, in early June.
“It had been eight years since the group was founded, so it was about time,” said rising senior Andrew Yoon, the group’s general manager. “The album was a real milestone in the growth of the group.”
The album, available on iTunes and through the Treblemakers’ website, is the culmination of nine months of work, as the group raised more than $7,000 and spent countless hours in the recording studio.
Featuring songs ranging from mainstream pop hits like Taio Cruz’s “Dynamite” to the peaceful melodies of Taiwanese indie singer-songwriter Crowd Lu, Definition covers a wide spectrum of musical tastes, which has been one of Treblemakers’ main goals since its creation.
