Pie Phight

In a fudge-slinging, whip cream–spraying spectacle, Pi Beta Phi held its annual Pie a Pi Phi and Pie Phight philanthropy. The Pie Phight, on the lakefill in May, pitted teams of students in a series of pudding, candy and whip-cream competitions, such as removing M&M’s from a bucket of pudding without using your hands, leaving competitors with a sticky, gooey layer of sugar on their faces and bodies.

Donations benefited Pi Beta Phi’s national philanthropy, First Book, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing low-income children with their first new books.
