The Latino Alumni of Northwestern University (LANU) held its inaugural scholarship gala, Noche de Gala, at the Northwestern University School of Law on May 10. LANU members and guests celebrated the achievements of the Northwestern Latino community and the endowment established for the LANU Scholarship, awarded this year to McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science senior Kenneth Cebrian. Hector Cuellar (KSM80), president of RSM EquiCo Capital Markets, was the keynote speaker for the event.
The Northwestern University Black Alumni Association (NUBAA) held its second annual Hall of Fame awards ceremony and networking reception in May. See "From Sitting-In to Reaching Out" for more on the Hall of Fame ceremony.
