ULC is a community of Christians—composed mostly of students at Northwestern—who, through Jesus Christ, know God to be astoundingly merciful and steadfastly loving, a daily affirming presence who is the source of countless blessings. We gather regularly to worship God, to witness to and to nurture our faith, to have fun together and develop supportive relationships, to help one another to integrate faith and our academic life and work, to explore our calling from God, and to serve God’s people, on our campus and in its Evanston/Chicago context. ULC is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and also a Reconciling in Christ congregation recognized by Lutherans Concerned/North America. On campus, we annually appoint liaisons to the NU Interfaith Initiative, and in the community, we are an active member of Interfaith Action of Evanston. We invite you to use this page to learn more about us, and we especially invite you to join us. Welcome to ULC! If you're on Facebook, check out the ULC page. And while you're on the net, take a look at the notice we received on the North by Northwestern Rock blog.
Read "Update" (the shorter of our newsletters) for Winter Quarter, weeks 5 - 6 by clicking here. A calendar for the same period is available too.
Members and friends of ULC are encouraged to pray and consider making a commitment of time, talent, and treasure to God's work through our congregation in 2010. To make your commitment, click here.
Please consider giving a gift to Haiti Earthquake Relief either through the ELCA Disaster Response or through Lutheran World Relief.
A SPECIAL WELCOME to new students at Northwestern: members of the class of 2013, transfer students, and new graduate students! Please tell us about yourself by clicking here.
