Committee Research

Any changes we make must be supported by scholarship, and demonstrated to be effective. We have built a robust research library to guide our conversations, and inform our decisions. This library includes not only scholarly books and articles, but also materials from other institutions’ residential programs.

Scholarship

We have collected, read, and written up briefs on hundreds of books and articles in relevant scholarly fields, including higher education, psychology, sociology, and more. In addition to peer-reviewed scholarship, we’ve also read dozens of popular books and articles so that we can connect the Committee’s work with contemporary public discourse about the state of higher education. We’ve also drawn inspiration from programs at other universities, and looking for successful initiatives at other institutions that can be adapted to meet our institutional goals and needs.
