Our Mission

Residential Services strives to promote a sense of community and encourage the growth and development of each student in a variety of living environments. Our program seeks to complement the academic mission of Northwestern University by providing students opportunities for learning in a safe, diverse, and respectful environment.

Our Learning Outcomes

Students who engage in programs and activities provided by Residential Services will:

  • Demonstrate self-awareness and empathy in their relationships with other students that will contribute to a positive sense of community within their residential neighborhood
  • Demonstrate personal reasonability in their decision making and be accountable for the impact on those decisions on themselves and others
  • Examine personal needs, interests, abilities, growth areas, and identifies and use this knowledge to inform their person and professional goals
