Community Service Vehicles

The Community Service Vehicle Program provides vehicles for students to volunteer in the Evanston and Chicagoland communities. There are five vehicles available to community service Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) for the exclusive purpose of traveling to and from a community agency to perform service.

In order to utilize this program, you must complete two required trainings before you are eligible to use the vehicles.

Pre-Service Orientation & Van Training

Campus Life Van Trainings for new drivers will be offered once a month in the SOURCE. Winter 2017 schedule will be held on the last Friday of the month at 10:00am. In addition, individual training is also available. Please contact Resti Miranda, to schedule an individual training.

Required Training

Defensive Driving Certification

Defensive Driving Certification: Northwestern University’s Department of Risk Management proctors daily driver certification testing. The course is online and takes around 1-1.5 hours to complete. Contact Risk Management at (847) 491-3253 to schedule a time to take a test.
