Student Groups

The Office of Hispanic/Latino Student Affairs (H/LSA) takes great pride in the contributions of the Hispanic/Latino students at Northwestern. H/LSA advises or collaborates with and supports several student organizations on campus. Here are a few that we would like to highlight:

Alianza

Alianza is Northwestern’s largest Hispanic/Latino student organization. Members are strongly committed to the success of the Hispanic/Latino community on campus and plan a wide range of cultural activities—such as Festival LatiNu and Comedy Beatdown—as well as social events that include camping trips, movie nights, and salsa parties. More information about Alianza activities and membership is available at the H/LSA office.

H/LSA Freshman Advisory Board

H/LSA Freshman Advisory Board was created to allow first-year students to have an active role in some of the educational, social or service oriented programming sponsored by H/LSA. The members of this board are selected by the H/LSA staff and work closely with several facets of this department. For more information, contact Ronnie Rios.
