Associate or Full Professor in Measurement and Assessment.
Northwestern University invites applications for a tenured Associate
Professor-level faculty position, to be jointly held between the
Institute for Policy Research and the School of Education and Social
Policy. Exceptional candidates at the full professor level might
also be considered. We seek scholars with a research program in
measurement, assessment, or psychometrics that is coupled to issues
in education and social policy. Examples might include methods for
large scale assessment of academic achievement; performance assessment;
innovative measurement methods for modern cognitive knowledge representations;
and methods for measurement of non-cognitive variables such as affect,
attitudes, and motivation. Applicants should have an outstanding
record of scholarly publication and externally funded research.
To promote policy-relevant research activities, the appointment
will carry a one-half reduction in teaching responsibilities.
