Q-Center Faculty Search

Associate or Full Professor in Measurement and Assessment. Northwestern University invites applications for a tenured Associate Professor-level faculty position, to be jointly held between the Institute for Policy Research and the School of Education and Social Policy. Exceptional candidates at the full professor level might also be considered. We seek scholars with a research program in measurement, assessment, or psychometrics that is coupled to issues in education and social policy. Examples might include methods for large scale assessment of academic achievement; performance assessment; innovative measurement methods for modern cognitive knowledge representations; and methods for measurement of non-cognitive variables such as affect, attitudes, and motivation. Applicants should have an outstanding record of scholarly publication and externally funded research. To promote policy-relevant research activities, the appointment will carry a one-half reduction in teaching responsibilities.

Please submit a statement of research, externally funded research grants, teaching, vita, and representative research publications to:

Professor Larry V. Hedges
Measurement and Assessment Search Committee Chair
School of Education and Social Policy
2120 Campus Drive
Northwestern University
Evanston, IL 60208

The search will remain open until the position is filled. Minorities and women are strongly encouraged to apply. Northwestern is an Equal Opportunity, Affirmative Action employer. Hiring is contingent upon eligibility to work in the United States. Northwestern is located in an attractive lakefront community adjacent to Chicago.
