Cells to Society Journal Club
The “C2S Journal Club” is a diverse group of graduate and postdoctoral students interested in social disparities and health. Journal Club brings together students from various disciplines, including cultural anthropology, psychology, human development and social policy, and education. Students meet for lunch on Thursdays prior to scheduled C2S colloquia to discuss contemporary issues and research related to the upcoming colloquia speaker’s work.
Journal Club is thus a place for students to meet and learn about new cutting-edge research at the intersection of the social, life, and biomedical sciences. Moreover, it is a place to share ideas and develop collaborations. Ultimately, the aim of Journal Club is to help build an academic community of young scholars dedicated to building new knowledge which will contribute to reducing social disparities and improving health outcomes for all.
All of the following Journal Club meetings will be held in the Institute for Policy Research, Conference Room, 617 Library Place, Evanston, IL 60201
