International Peer Mentor Program (IPM)

The International Peer Mentor (IPM) Program was established in 2004 to facilitate the transition period and help combat some of the problems that new undergraduate international students often face. The IPM Program pairs a mentor (current NU student) with one or a few mentees (new NU students) in order to meet its goals.

Goals of the Program:

  • To facilitate the adaptation of the incoming international students through mentor students
  • To provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for them by forming a strong community through organizing events

You can expect to benefit from IPM through:

  • A mentor who will provide you one-on-one assistance
  • Attending the social and academic events organized for you
  • Representing your own culture and learning about other cultures
  • Life-lasting friendships with people from all over the world

"Strong participation of mentees is one of the key factors to the success of the program."
