The International Office provides professional support and advising services to international students at Northwestern University. In this section of our web site, you will find information on specific non-immigrant visa categories, helpful information on travel, and general procedural information for newly admitted and current students. We invite you to utilize the information housed here as you prepare to arrive and study at Northwestern.

Student Services has been divided into three main sections serving two disctinct populations.

New Students
This section contains specific visa information for students who have been recently admitted to an academic program at Northwestern University. As a newly admitted student to Northwestern, you are now eligible to apply for a Form I-20 or Form DS-2019 (for an F-1 or J-1 visa respectively).

Current Students
This section contains specific information for students currently studying at Northwestern in either F-1 or J-1 status. As a current student, you are responsible for maintaining your immigration status. We encourage you to utilize the information housed here to answer many of your questions regarding maintenance of status, travel, and so much more.

Student Resources
For new and current students alike, utilization of these resources will agument your experience here at Northwestern.
