International Student Document Request

  The Immigration Status Verification Letter may be used to:
  • Verify enrollment.
  • As a visa support letter for students applying for renewed F1 or J1 visa stamps at U.S. consulates or embassies abroad.

Students who may not be able to retrieve their documents from the IO may complete the Document Mailing Request Form. This form can be mailed, faxed, or scanned and emailed to the appropriate IO advisor.

If you need to have your new I-20 or DS-2019 mailed to you, you will need to pay the domestic or international shipping fee. The fee can be paid by credit card.

NOTE:

• Only forms that are complete will be accepted.
• We do not write support letters for family/friends' visa applications (i.e. "invitations") but recommend that you request an Immigration Status Verification Letter from our office. Using this letter, in combination with an invitation written by you, your family members are able to secure visitors visas.

International Scholar Document Request

• Visa Support Packages
  Necessary for visa acquisition outside the U.S. This package includes: visa support letter, copy of approved petition, original approval notice (I-797A/I-797B).
• Extension Support Packages
  Recommended for travel while extension is pending, prior to current end-date of a valid visa stamp. This includes a copy of extension petition and an original extension receipt notice (I-797C).
• Original Approval Notice (I-797A/I-797B)
  Necessary for travel outside the U.S.
• Visa Support Letter
