Global Ambassadors Program

The Global Ambassadors Program is comprised of current International Students and Scholars from Northwestern University who volunteer to share their unique cultural backgrounds, experiences and expertise with the community and local schools.  The goal of the program is to share a variety of global perspectives with the local community as well as promote global awareness and understanding among elementary, middle and high school students.

What topics do our Global Ambassadors Program speakers' discuss?

A school/organization can request a certain topic to coincide with recent lessons/events or the Global Ambassador can talk about interesting cultural similarities and differences.  Some topics include language differences, festivals, school and childhood in theircountry, food, clothing, music, dance, sports and cultural customs.  Presentations may last 20 minutes to 1 hour in length depending on the needs of the school/organization.

How can a Global Ambassador Program speaker be requested?

Schools/organizations interested in hosting a Global Ambassador should complete a request form below.  Two week advance notice is required.
