Undergraduate International Student Orientation 2009
September 12-15, 2009

The International Office (IO) is pleased to offer incoming international undergraduate students the opportunity to participate in the 2009 Undergraduate International Student Orientation (ISO). This year’s orientation will take place from September 12–15, 2009, just before Wildcat Welcome.

The registration period for the 2009 Undergraduate ISO has now passed. If you have questions or would like to register late, please contact Nick Seamons, Assistant Director, Student Services at the IO.

Program
The 2009 Undergraduate ISO will be a fun filled and informative four-day program organized to help the international members of the class of 2013 become acquainted with life at Northwestern University, while making new friends. New international students, transfer students, and exchange students are invited to attend this pre-Wildcat Welcome orientation geared specifically for international students.

The IO, in collaboration with the International Student Association (ISA), has planned an exciting orientation and welcome program. From social activities to shopping trips, scavenger hunts, and interactive information sessions, the design of this program is to facilitate and enhance the academic and cultural adjustments incoming undergraduate international students face. 

At the conclusion of the Undergraduate ISO on the afternoon of Tuesday, September 15, all students will proceed to Wildcat Welcome; Northwestern’s all new-student orientation program.

Housing
International students participating in the Undergraduate ISO will be offered temporary housing on-campus for the two nights before moving into their permanent dorm rooms on Monday, September 14, 2009. Participating students will be provided select meals and linens as part of this temporary housing. Keep in mind that all incoming international freshman coming to Northwestern for ISO will move into permanent on-campus housing on Monday, September 14!

Check-In
Check-in will take place on Saturday, September 12, 2009, beginning at 12pm noon on at Bobb-McCulloch Residence Hall, located on Northwestern University’s Evanston campus. Make your travel arrangements now to arrive on time!
