Bocconi Campus Abroad

Each summer Northwestern hosts 30-40 business and economics students from our Italian partner institution Bocconi University, as part of the Bocconi Campus Abroad program. Lectures and seminars are taught by both Bocconi and Northwestern faculty members and include history, politics, economics, and business-related topics. A different theme serves as the focus each year. Students also take part in opportunities outside of the classroom, such as touring downtown Chicago, visiting the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and Chicago Board of Trade, and participating in company visits and networking events. In their free time, students are encouraged to experience American life and explore more of both Chicago and Evanston.

Northwestern has partnered with Bocconi on the Campus Abroad Program since 2012. Northwestern also has an active exchange program with Bocconi, which is offered through International Program Development and allows Northwestern students to enroll directly at Bocconi University for a semester or a full academic year and take classes with local and international students. Students participating in the exchange program can take classes in management, finance and international economics.
