Bright Horizons at Evanston
1629 Orrington Avenue
Evanston, IL 60201
Northwestern University families receive special benefits through an agreement between Northwestern University and Bright Horizons:
Bright Horizons Downtown
Bernice E. Lavin Early Childhood Education Center
441 E. Ontario Street
Chicago, IL 60611
An “open door” policy welcomes parents of enrolled children to drop in at any time. The center has been custom designed to fully meet the child care and educational needs of young children and to maximize learning, ensure safety, and support teacher supervision. The infant room is especially designed for very young children to explore their world in a stimulating, healthy, and safe way with quiet spaces for nurturing. Teachers in the infant and toddler programs provide a caring and supportive environment that gently encourages increasing mobility and exploration. The preschool program provides the same nurturing and support, as well as an exciting environment where children can begin to discover the world around them through language, math, science, art, movement, and music. See the Center Fact Sheet for more information.
Through an agreement with Northwestern Medicine, Northwestern University will now offer childcare fee assistance for its faculty, staff and graduate students who have children enrolled at the Bernice E. Lavin Early Childhood Education Center.
Enrollment & Fee Assistance
The Northwestern University Office of Work/Life & Family Resources does not endorse or recommend any particular school or child care center and encourages all parents to carefully evaluate any provider they are considering to care for their child.
