Upon opening the "Create New Job Opening" page, the first step for the Data Coordinator will be to select the job category: Faculty or Staff. Note you will see only the option(s) you have access to:
Users are now required to enter the Position Number only. The Job Code box has been removed, and will auto-populate with the appropriate Job Code after a Position Number has been selected:
The following new fields have been added to the top of the Job Opening to provide additional information, including the Job Category, Standard Hours (for Non-Exempt) / Percent Full Time (for Exempt), and the complete salary range:
For informational purposes, the Reports To field has been added to the "Job Information" tab. Additional questions have been included at the bottom of the box to assist your HR Staffing Consultant:
If your position is salary grade 8 or below, the minimum to midpoint salary must be displayed. In this case, the "Salary Range" box will be automatically checked, and you will not be able to uncheck it. Note that this option displays only the minimum to midpoint salary on the job opening; the maximum is not displayed.
The Job Posting Description will now display the most recent information from the Position Description, and the EEO and Background Checks statements are automatically added to each posting. This information may only be edited by your Staffing Consultant. To review the Posting Description, click the title on the Job Posting Tab:
Underneath the posting description at the bottom of the page (Job Posting tab > click the Title), new options are available to request advertising from Graystone Group. For more information and specific instructions for using this section, please see the Graystone Advertising Webpage.
Note: The "Internet" options previously visible on this page have been hidden; all jobs are automatically posted to Northwestern's internal and external jobs websites and the GC-HERC. Enter any other external advertising preferences in the Graystone section.
