Staff eRecruit

Overview & Access

Staff eRecruit is the University's official application for posting jobs and managing staff applicants.  

System access to review resumes for job postings can be provided to any active Staff, Faculty, or Student with a valid Northwestern NetID. Access to post job openings, respond to applicants, and/or update position descriptions requires proper authorization and completion of the HRS121: Staff eRecruit training course.

Roles & Responsibilities

eRecruit Role * Description & Responsibilities
Resume Receiver Access to review and print resumes only; no training required.
Position Description Reviewer Responsible for maintaining and updating official postion descriptions; HRS121 training is required.
Data Coordinator Creates the job opening in eRecruit; may also review resumes and respond to applicants. HRS121 training is required.
Hiring Manager Responsible for viewing on-line applications, resumes, and cover letters; rejects applicants, selects applicants for interview, and selects a final applicant for offer; HRS121 training is required.
Authorizer A department or school administrator responsible for approving a job opening before it is routed to your HR Recruiter for approval; HRS121 training is required.

* Individuals may request access to more than one role, depending on their responsibility within the department.
