Through the HRIS Self-Service System you may
change your current home and mailing address, phone numbers, and emergency
contacts. Below are general questions and answers pertaining to address and
phone number changes.

If I change my address in HRIS, will that change
my address in all University systems?

If I change my address
in HRIS, will that change my address in all University systems?
No, it will update the HRIS and Online
directory (PH), but will NOT update SES, CUFS, Alumni, or any other database
system maintained in your department or school. In order to make address
changes with your Health, Dental and Retirement providers you should notify the
University’s Benefits Office directly.

I need an off campus address?
Off campus addresses
are usually used by the Physicians in the

Will
these address changes affect the delivery of my check?
If you
are a temporary or work study employee, have requested your check to be sent
home, and have made changes to that home address your check address will be
updated to reflect the change.
Home address is not used as a check address for regular faculty,
staff or graduate students. All checks for faculty, staff, or graduate students
are sent to the departments.

Will my
W-2 be sent to my home address?
W2s are addressed to the department for all faculty, staff and
graduate students currently being paid by the University. Home address will be
used for delivery of W2s for temporary and employees who have left the
University.

Can I
delete my off campus address?
Yes, if you would like the address deleted immediately, click on
the link to Update Off Campus Address, go to the Status drop down box and
select Inactive and then click on the Save button. If you would like the off
campus address deleted in the future follow the above directions and then enter
the effective date.

Can I
delete my home address?
No, HRIS needs a
current home address for all employees.

Can I
give you either my parents’ or an alternative address as my home address for
the summer?
Yes, and you can put in
a date when this new address will take effect. So you could enter the change
now with a date you are leaving the area.

Is it
required that I list 2 work phones?
No, you will only be
required to enter one phone number. Some employees have more than one job, so
the 2nd work phone number gives those individuals the opportunity to have
another listing in the paper directory and the Online Directory (PH).

Will
these changes update my Directory Information?
Yes, but you will get
another Self Service message in early October about the directory being printed
and it will ask you to look at your job information, and other information that
will be listed in the directory.

Why do I
have to go to HR with my Social Security number to get my name changed?
The IRS requires that the employee name
on the year end W2 match the name on the employee’s social security card.
