eBenefits
eBenefits is a module within HRIS that enables eligible employees to make their benefit plan selections online.
To access eBenefits, go to HRIS Self Service accessible at the following URL: https://nuhr.northwestern.edu . Enter your NetID and password (use the same ID and password you use to check your e-mail and access Meeting Maker).
Using eBenefits for Newly Benefits Eligible Faculty and Staff
The eBenefits Web site is available from any computer with Internet access – 24 hours a day, seven days a week. All an individual needs is an active University NetID and password. For those who need assistance enrolling online, there is a Benefits division kiosk located on the second floor of 720 University and another located on the ground floor of Abbott Hall (710 Lake Shore Drive).
Individuals must complete
the enrollment process within 31 days from the date of benefits
eligibility. Otherwise, an individual may apply for certain benefit
plan selections during Open Enrollment or within 31 days from
the date of a qualifying change in employment or family status.

A computer-based tutorial can be accessed by clicking the link above. Once the link is clicked, a new window will appear on the screen and you are able to walk through enrolling online.
Users may also access this online help tool within HRIS Self Service. To do so, click the Help link located on the top right hand corner of the Self Service page.
