New Kronos Code for Emergency Close of University
A new earnings code has been established to record time off related to closure of the University due to the extreme weather. Earnings code EME (Emergency Close of University) must be used to record time off for Monday January 6 and Tuesday January 7. All regular non-exempt and exempt employees, both full-time and part-time, will have this date populated with their scheduled hours. Please check your timecard to make sure that any pre-populated amounts are correct.
Payment will be reflected in the Hours and Earnings section of your pay statement under the description “Emergency Close of University”.
If you have any questions regarding this new code or completing your timecard, please contact the Kronos Help Desk for assistance at 847-467-7606 or email@example.com
Kronos is the University's official time entry system of record.
Kronos is used by biweekly-paid regular staff, temporary employees, and student employees to log hours each pay period. Monthly-paid staff, librarians, and postdocs use Kronos to record vacation, sick, and other leave time each month.
Kronos is accessible from any on-campus wired or wireless computer. To use Kronos from off-campus or University housing, you must connect to the NU VPN first.
