Kronos Upgrade Information

Kronos Upgrade to Version 6.3

The Kronos upgrade will go-live Monday October 21st.   The system is expected to be down from 5pm Thursday 10/17 through Sunday 10/20, and available on Monday 10/21.

The primary reason for upgrading Kronos is to resolve the issue with its compatibility with Java7.   Please be advised of some of the following notes we have compiled about Java and prepare your departments accordingly.

Supported Browsers and Java Versions for Kronos 6.3 Upgrade

Supported Browsers:

  • Internet Explorer 10 (32-bit) -- only with Compatibility Mode turned on
  • Internet Explorer 7, 8, 9 (32-bit)
  • Mozilla Firefox 4.x, 5.x, 6.x, 7.x
  • Apple Safari 5.x -- running on OS-X 10.7 only 


Supported Operating Systems:

  • Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit) -- when using the 64-bit version of Windows 7, the default 32-bit version of IE must be used
  • Windows XP

Supported Java Versions:

  • JRE 1.7.0_7 through 1.7.0_40
  • JRE 1.6.0_29 through 1.6.0_45 
  • Java versions lower than 1.6.0_29 are not supported
