Short Term Disability Plan

STD helps staff minimize the financial burdens that might result from an extended non-work-related accident or illness. The plan pays 60 percent of an individual's weekly wages up to a maximum benefit payment of $7,500 per month. Benefits begin after you have been absent from work due to a disability for 14 consecutive calendar days or after you've used up all sick days, vacation, and holiday time, whichever occurs later. Benefits are available for a period of up to 24 weeks. Short-term disability coverage may be dropped only at the end of a calendar year or within 31 days of a qualifying change in family or employment status.
